MS Environmental Engineering & Science Admission Info

While most applicants apply intending to be a degree candidate seeking a graduate degree or certificate, you may also apply as a non-degree seeking special student. To apply as a special student, you must meet the same prerequisites and requirements as a degree seeking candidate, as listed below.

  • Completed and submitted application form
  • Application fee of $75 (waived for graduates of the Whiting School of Engineering)
  • Official transcripts from all college studies
  • Applicants must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 (B or above) scale in the latter half of their studies or hold graduate degrees in relevant technical disciplines
  • Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree in either engineering or natural science from a four year college or university to be considered for the Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Science degree
  • Successful completion of one year of college-level calculus and a course in differential equations
  • Successful completion of college-level courses is recommended in physics, chemistry, biology, geology and statistics
