Master of Science in Systems Engineering is Now Also Available Fully Online

For over a decade, Johns Hopkins University's Engineering for Professionals (JHU-EP) has been educating systems engineers by offering its master's program at education centers located in the Baltimore-Washington region. Now, professionals anywhere can access the expertise needed to coordinate and supervise interdisciplinary teams that plan, develop, and engineer complex technical systems. Our master's degree in systems engineering can be completed online and includes the same course content and learning outcomes that our on-campus students experience. M.S. in Systems Engineering

Neither a thesis nor knowledge of a foreign language is required in this program. Students complete 10 one-semester courses as follows:

Master's Project or Master's Thesis options:

Students must complete either the one-semester Systems Engineering Master's Project or the two-semester Systems Engineering Master's Thesis. The thesis option is strongly recommended for students planning to pursue doctoral studies. In addition, students must complete one or two relevant electives, depending on whether the student has selected the Master's Thesis option or the Master's Project option, respectively.

Elective:

Electives may be selected from the online course offerings in technical management, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, environmental engineering, science and management, and information systems engineering programs.
