Event Description:

Johns Hopkins Engineering is pleased to present this writing webinar geared specifically to professional engineering students. Engineers who want to advance in their profession need to be able to effectively communicate complex, technical ideas — but so often in this process the message gets lost. Writing That Makes Your Case: Persuasive Language for Engineering Professionals will teach students how to cut through cluttered ideas and focus on their point. Topics will include readability, determining audience needs and structuring arguments in a professional setting.

Instructor Charlotte O'Donnell teaches technical and professional writing at Johns Hopkins University. She has worked as a journalist, and as a technical writer and editor, publishing across a wide range of topics and disciplines from medical journal articles to education policy handbooks.
