Cell and Tissue Engineering are dynamic and rapidly growing fields within Biomedical Engineering. This course will examine fundamental biological processes and medical engineering tools essential to regenerative medicine both at the single cell and whole organism level. Topics include stem cell engineering, cell-matrix & cell-scaffold interactions, cell-cell interactions & tissue morphogenesis, wound healing and in vitro organogenesis.

Course prerequisites: 

Knowledge of basic molecular and cellular biology, physiology, and math through ordinary differential equations is required.
