Barry Bodt served as a mathematical statistician at the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, retiring in 2016. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master’s and Ph.D. in statistics from the University of Delaware. He worked for the Army for thirty-six years, developing methodology for Army applications and serving as an applied statistician on a variety of programs. He has extensive experience in statistical modeling and experimental design. Applications include chemical agents, toxicology, projectiles, armor plates, target detection and identification, war game simulation, intrusion detection, and robotics.
