Foad Alvandi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Aryamehr University, Tehran, Iran in 1977. He later completed his Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the George Mason University, Fairfax, VA in 1987. Foad has many years of experience in practice of engineering and holds professional engineering licensing from the State of Maryland and Washington DC, among other jurisdictions. He also has over 10 years of experience teaching college level electrical engineering and computer programming courses. During the last 8 years of his professional career, Foad’s work has been focused on engineering design of commercial and utility scale solar photovoltaic systems. He holds “PV Installation Professional Certification” from the NABCEP board.  Foad has retired from full-time work in 2018 and currently resides in Turkey.
