Cleon Davis, program manager of the National Security Space division at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, will serve as the next chair of EP’s Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program.
Davis joined EP in 2008, served as vice chair for the ECE program starting in 2016, and was most recently interim program chair. His efforts in strategic planning, budget management, and faculty mentoring have been pivotal to the program’s success. He currently teaches “Introduction to Optimization and Computational Complexity.”
Cleon earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Florida A&M University and master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
