Christian Davies-Venn, an instructor in Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals (EP) program in environmental engineering, was named a 2024 Fellow by the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
Created to celebrate the outstanding contributions of WEF members to the global water sector, the WEF Fellows Recognition Program acknowledges the professional achievements and stature of WEF members and their contributions to the preservation and enhancement of the global water environment.
Davies-Venn is a leading national expert in process modeling, enhanced nutrient removal and anaerobic processes, and biosolids management. Since 2010, he has taught courses on topics including principles of water and wastewater treatment, water supply and wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment plant design.
Davies-Venn has worked in wastewater engineering in areas including facilities planning, design, operation, and maintenance programs and construction management of a range of handling systems for more than 40 years, including two decades with Peer Consultants in Washington, DC, and Rockville, MD, where he has served as a vice president and chief engineer and director of wastewater engineering.
