Sufian Aldogom, Engr ’24 (MS), a graduate of Johns Hopkins’ Engineering for Professionals program in Systems Engineering, is committed to giving back to the next generation of engineers by providing them with the chance to explore professional paths and pursue their passions.

With nearly a decade of experience leading engineering initiatives at Microsoft and currently serving as a senior technical program manager at Amazon, he has successfully bridged the gap between industry and academia, contributing to research and teaching at MIT and working withNeurIPS 2025, one of the world’s premier AI research conferences.

Aldogom also makes significant contributions to engineering by mentoring and encouraging aspiring engineers at Johns Hopkins and beyond. He was selected to serve as a graduate coding mentor for NASA’s Student Airborne Research Program, where he guided a group of undergraduate students from across the nation, assisting them in analyzing atmospheric and remote sensing data through coding and AI. Only five mentors are chosen from the West Coast to lead a group of 24 SARP students.

Recently, he was approved as a mentor in the Johns Hopkins Sesquicentennial Career Exploration Mentorship Program, a four-week virtual mentorship initiative designed to provide Hopkins students with a clear and informed understanding of their career options and support them in their professional development. “I see this as a meaningful way to give back to current Hopkins students,” says Aldogom.
