Dr. Mei-Ching Chen
Mei-Ching Chen, PhD, is a data scientist/program analyst who supports various Federal agencies, including the National Institutes of Health Center for Scientific Review. Her current work is focused on creating practical solutions for data collection, processing, quality, analysis, and integrity practices, as well as data management systems. Her research interests include bibliometric analysis, data management, data mining, digital signal processing, information security, mobile platforms and applications, pattern recognition, and process improvement. The work she does is applied to raw data and to one and multi-dimensional signals, as well as to the development and integration of software systems. In her teaching, Chen focuses on hands-on experimental laboratories, the practical applications of the subject matter, and theoretical concepts in computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematical disciplines. Chen teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in topics that include algorithms, computer programming, digital signal processing, engineering analysis, neural networks, and signals and systems.
