Personal Bio

Dr. Lew is a Director with Deloitte, LLP, a professional services and consulting firm where he is a technology consultant.  Prior to joining Deloitte, Dr. Lew was a Principal Engineer with the MITRE Corporation and a Research Scientist with International Business Machines (IBM), focusing on mathematical modeling & simulation, operating systems, and distributed systems development.  Dr. Lew holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics, a M.S. in Computer Science, a M.A. in Applied Mathematics with an Electrical Engineering concentration in Statistical Communications, and a B.A. with majors in Computer Science and Chemistry.  Dr. Lew’s interests include algorithmic design and analysis, distributed systems development, and statistical communications.  Dr Lew has been a member of the faculty at Johns Hopkins University since 1997.
