Timothy R. Henderson co-founded and manages Rich and Henderson, P.C. which represents local and national clients in a variety of matters including environmental permitting, merger and acquisition due diligence, natural resources issues, and land use matters. His practice focuses on regulatory compliance counseling on hazardous and solid waste (involving both RCRA and Superfund), environmental permitting, air quality, wastewater disposal, water use, and transactional and enforcement matters. Guiding investors through the maze of federal, state and local environmental requirements for the acquisition of businesses or land is a major focus of his law practice.
After graduating from the Wisconsin law school in 1980 he worked for five years at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, DC; from 1985 to 1987 he was an assistant regional counsel at EPA Region II in New York City. His work with law firms began in 1987, for six years in NYC, two years in Washington, DC and, since 1993, in Maryland.
Henderson was a member of the Corridor Cities Transitway Area Advisory Committee Two, a planning advisory committee operated by the Maryland Transit Administration for the purpose of engaging public participation for proposed transit projects in Montgomery County, Maryland. He is a past President of the Maryland State Bar Association's Environmental Law Section.
Henderson received both his master's and law degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, Washington, DC, New York and Wisconsin; before the Federal District Courts of Maryland, the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
