For many years, Johns Hopkins Engineering has provided a tuition benefit to Maryland public school teachers pursuing our part-time programs. Recently, that benefit has expanded to include private school teachers as well.

The STEM Education Program provides a tuition waiver for one course per term. All high school teachers in Maryland—now from both public and private schools—who teach classes in the STEM field (i.e., science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics), are eligible.

Teachers can use the tuition benefit toward any of our nineteen part-time master's and certificate programs. Once accepted, they can pursue their coursework either online or in the classroom, depending on their program.
