This course introduces the basic principles and elements required to organize, operate, and manage small-, medium-, and large-sized construction companies and projects. It focuses on the operation from the executive perspective: contractual responsibilities and the roles of contractor, owner, and design/engineering professionals. Students will be introduced to building information modeling technology for operations. It also explores the issues of labor relations, accounting, financing, and dispute resolution.
