The cybersecurity of the nation’s critical infrastructure is the premier national security issue of our time. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is positioned to help with this problem by serving as a force multiplier for cybersecurity professionals. This course seeks to introduce successful AI approaches to securing enterprise networks through hands-on assignments. This course specifically focuses on the use of machine learning to enhance security in-depth approaches such as spam filtering, phishing detection, network/host intrusion detection, malware/botnet detection, and secure authentication. The course includes an instructor-provided VM that runs on Linux, so students will need familiarity in working with those platforms.
