Dr. Yasin is a multidisciplinary scientist with a background in physics, ML/AI, and engineering. His current research spans topics related to quantum computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, hypersonics, theoretical and computational physics, and mechanical engineering. His research interests involve developing hybrid machine learning and physics modeling frameworks, developing and evaluating algorithms for quantum computing, density functional theory analysis, resilience modeling and analysis, high throughput analysis, and developing biologically inspired approaches to resolve complex systems.

Some of his research involves developing algorithms that allow computer programs to automatically improve through experience. He also has interest in developing the science and engineering of making computer systems behave in ways that until recently, were thought to require human intelligence. His research aims to leverage and understand how multidisciplinary perspectives can further advance novel approaches to system design and analysis.
