George Nakos holds a PhD degree in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University and is an emeritus professor of mathematics at the U.S. Naval Academy. He has done research in algebraic topology, commutative algebra, and computer algebra and his current interest is in cryptography. Nakos has been with JHU’s Engineering for Professionals programs since 1987 and he has taught Mathematical Methods for Engineers for the mechanical engineering program.
