Dr. Kitchen holds a PhD and an MSE in Materials Science & Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and an MSE and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University with a research focus on piezoelectric and self-adaptive materials synthesis. Dr. Kitchen is a postdoctoral scholar at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology working on self-adaptive metal synthesis. Dr. Kitchen has served a faculty lecturer at Johns Hopkins University since 2025.
