Dr. Seifert has more than 20 years of professional experience in Project Management and Systems Engineering on a number of NASA and NOAA programs performing project management, systems engineering, quality management, and technical task leadership to support the entire life cycle of complex satellite scientific instruments and payloads, satellite ground command and control systems, simulation systems, and data processing information systems. He currently manages a number of NASA projects for the JHU/APL Civil Space Mission Area as well as the Independent Research and Development (IRAD) Program for the JHU/APL Space Exploration Sector. Dr. Seifert has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland in College Park, an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland in College Park, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He has been an adjunct faculty for the Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals program in the Whiting School of Engineering since the fall of 2009 and is currently teaching classes both in the Technical Management and Space Systems Engineering programs.
