Admission Requirements
- You must meet the general admission requirements that pertain to all graduate certificate candidates.
- Your prior education must include (1) an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and (2) successful completion of one year of college-level calculus.
- Successful completion of college-level courses in physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and statistics is strongly recommended.
- When reviewing an application, your academic and professional background will be considered.
- If your prior education does not include the prerequisites listed above, you may still be admitted under provisional status, followed by full admission once they have completed the missing prerequisites. Missing prerequisites may be completed with Johns Hopkins Engineering for Professionals or at another regionally accredited institution.

Certificate Requirements
- Five courses must be completed within three years.
- The curriculum consists of five core courses.
- Only grades of B− or above can count toward the graduate certificate.
- Any deviation from this program, including transfer of courses and any other requisites specified in the student’s admission letter, will not be approved by the program chair.
