This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the principles, methodologies, and applications of multiple length and time-scale techniques for designing complex engineering systems. Through a combination of lectures, discussion, case studies and hands-on applications, students will learn how to apply a variety of microscopic and macroscopic modeling techniques such as finite element method, molecular dynamics, ab-initio and related data-driven skills that are necessary to tackle real-world challenges in engineering and technology.
