U.S. News ranks the nation’s best online graduate programs in seven disciplines, as well as the best online bachelor’s degree programs. Rankings are determined by five weighted criteria: student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, peer reputation, and admissions selectivity.
More than 5,000 students across the world are enrolled in the Whiting School’s online and part-time programs. The programs’ courses and curriculum are created by faculty members and program leadership who are experts in their field. Instructional designers support the faculty in customizing the courses for online delivery and maximum student engagement and learning.
These rankings exemplify the school’s steadfast commitment to meeting the education needs of the technical and engineering workforces through top-quality programs, according to Dan Horn, associate dean for the Whiting School of Engineering’s Engineering for Professionals.
“One key to our leadership in online learning since 2001 is our dedication to offering a curriculum that reflects and responds to the constantly changing landscape,” said Horn. “Though the volume and variety of courses we offer have steadily increased, one thing stays the same: our commitment to ensuring that working professionals emerge prepared for the technological and scientific challenges they will meet in their careers.”
